  15.      _b_o_o_t_p_a_d_d is a tool to help automate the process of adding client hosts to
  16.      ////uuuussssrrrr////eeeettttcccc////bbbboooooooottttppppttttaaaabbbb.  See _b_o_o_t_p(1M) for more details on the contents and
  17.      format of ////uuuussssrrrr////eeeettttcccc////bbbboooooooottttppppttttaaaabbbb.

  19.      _b_o_o_t_p_a_d_d can also be used to update existing information in the
  20.      ////uuuussssrrrr////eeeettttcccc////bbbboooooooottttppppttttaaaabbbb.

  22.      _b_o_o_t_p_a_d_d checks the ////uuuussssrrrr////eeeettttcccc////bbbboooooooottttppppttttaaaabbbb to see if an entry already exists
  23.      for the specified host.  If an entry exists, the current options are used
  24.      as defaults.

  26.      The _b_o_o_t_p_a_d_d command takes the following arguments:

  28.      ----bbbb _b_o_o_t_f_i_l_e
  29.           Specifies the name of the boot file to be used for the specified
  30.           host.  If the _b_o_o_t_f_i_l_e is not specified, the boot file specified in
  31.           the existing entry in ////uuuussssrrrr////eeeettttcccc////bbbboooooooottttppppttttaaaabbbb is used.  If an entry does
  32.           not exist, then the default bootfile specified in the
  33.           ////uuuussssrrrr////eeeettttcccc////bbbboooooooottttppppttttaaaabbbb header is used.

  35.      ----hhhh _h_a_d_d_r
  36.           The _h_a_d_d_r field is the Ethernet address of the system in question
  37.           expressed as six hexadecimal bytes separated by colons.  If _h_a_d_d_r is
  38.           not specified, the _h_a_d_d_r specified in the existing entry in
  39.           ////uuuussssrrrr////eeeettttcccc////bbbboooooooottttppppttttaaaabbbb is used.  If an entry does not exist, then the
  40.           _n_v_r_a_m(1M) command is used to read the _e_a_d_d_r non-volatile RAM
  41.           variable from the specified host.

  44.           The _i_a_d_d_r field is the 32-bit Internet address of the system
  45.           expressed in standard Internet dot notation (see inetd(3N)).  If
  46.           _i_a_d_d_r is not specified, the _i_a_d_d_r specified in the existing entry in
  47.           ////uuuussssrrrr////eeeettttcccc////bbbboooooooottttppppttttaaaabbbb is used.  If an entry does not exist, then the
  48.           Internet name server is queried for the address.

  51.           host but do not write the ////uuuussssrrrr////eeeettttcccc////bbbboooooooottttppppttttaaaabbbb file.
